World class dancer and “electrifying violinist” set to wow audience in the Bundaleer Forest
From sheep shearing to centre stage, Lewis Major is proving that contemporary dance isn’t just for city folk. The world-class choreographer, who originally hailed from the South East, will bring his breathtaking candlelit show to Bundaleer Forest on Thursday March 27, for one unforgettable night.
It’s the first contemporary dance show of its kind to be held at the stunning Maple and Pine venue.

Major teams up with international violin virtuoso Blue Violin for a high-energy fusion of contemporary dance and iconic rock anthems including Stairway to Heaven, Footloose and ACDC’s legendary 90’s ballad, Thunderstruck.
All the way from Iowa, Blue Violin is the founder of the Boston String Quartet. Hailed as an “electrifying violinist” by the Boston Ballet, he’s performed alongside music greats like Gloria Estefan and Paul Simon, and his music excellence has wowed the likes of George W Bush to Queen Rania of Jordan.
Audiences will be treated to power ballads reimagined through live violin loops, while dancers move under the glow of 500 onstage candles. Its classical meets rock ‘n’ roll, in a goosebump-inducing show that brings big-stage energy to country audiences.
This is a rare chance to see world-class performance art in your own backyard. Maple and Pine’s bar will be open from 7pm, ahead of the one-hour performance at 8pm.
