Screaming Jets Among The Line-Up at Whyalla’s uneARTh Festival

Mad March is getting a steel-city shake up this year. Whyalla has a huge line-up of entertainment including Dave Gleeson and the Screaming Jets, as the uneARTh Festival returns for 2026.

Running right across the month, uneARTh brings a packed program of music, comedy, theatre and arts to venues across the steel city, with something popping up almost every day in Mad March.

One of the biggest drawcards this year is the grand finale event – Forged in Steel on March 28 – headlined by Legendary Aussie rockers, Dave Gleeson and the Screaming Jets. This outdoor music event will take over Ada Ryan Gardens with a massive line-up of bands. There’ll be kids’ entertainment, food trucks and a licensed bar, making it a great event for all ages.

Fringe Events, Art and Balmy Nights at Foreshore Fridays

Beyond the big-ticket acts, Foreshore Fridays return for the third year, with balmy Autumn nights on the lawn near Whyalla Waves Café. There’ll be live local music, roving entertainment and free face painting across three Friday nights.

Over at the Whyalla Art Gallery, a special exhibition will celebrate the gallery’s 50th year. Visual arts workshops will also be hosted for anyone keen to get hands-on. And if your ideal Sunday involves brunch and live music, Sumthin’ Sundays at Sumthin’ Tastee in the Jim Pollock Whyalla Wetlands are back again.

Cinematic Experiences Unfold at The Dome

Adelaide Fringe is also bringing touring shows to town — including The Dome immersive cinema at the Middleback Arts Centre. Audiences can kick back on beanbags as 360° films unfold across the curved ceiling. Movie-goers can settle in and watch giant cuttlefish filmed off South Australia’s coast, full-blown planetarium adventures and even a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon experience.

The immersive Dome experience will feature at Whyalla's uneARThed festival in March.
