100 trees to giveaway for National Tree Day
This Saturday, Barossa Valley Toyota is inviting everyone to a morning of free family-friendly fun in celebration of National Tree Day. The dealership is shifting gears from cars to caring for the environment, giving away 100 trees to community members.
Starting at 9am, the showroom on Murray Street at Tanunda, will be transformed into a hub of fun with face-painting, a petting zoo, popcorn, fairy floss and well-earned coffee for the grownups. Plus take home one of 100 14cm potted trees, locally sourced and perfect for planting in the Barossa Valley region.
To help plant you tree, and contribute to a greener future, you’ll also receive a bucket filled with planting essentials, including. a hat, gloves, a spade, stakes and guards. All you’ve got to do is decide where you want to plant your tree.
Tracey DeCoster from Barossa Valley Toyota, said the dealership was thrilled to invite the community to join them for National Tree Day. “This event isn’t about cars or servicing, it’s about teaching our kids and community members the importance of nurturing our environment,” she said.
The initiative marks Toyota’s 25th year of involvement with Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.
