Support local businesses and kids in country SA at Arthurton’s Pop-Up Christmas Market
Hitting up a market is the perfect way to support small country businesses, and Arthurton’s annual Pop-Up Christmas Market is the perfect place to start! Plus, you’ll also make a real difference for country kids, with proceeds going to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Auxillary. These funds support vital equipment and improve healthcare access for rural families, so every dollar spent is a double win for the community. Call it guilt-free shopping with purpose!
Starting back in 2018 as a simple garage sale among friends, the Arthurton Pop-Up has boomed, drawing in over 100 vendors, most of whom are proudly Yorke Peninsula locals.
Once again this award-winning market is a bustling mix of stalls, kids’ activities, tasty food, coffee, and even beer and gin. Live music will keep the vibe just right as you enjoy a day full of fun and local pride.
If you’re feeling lucky and love to cook, don’t miss the chance to win a Thermomix TM6! Kimberley Hamilton from SYP Thermomixers is offering this prized gadget, valued at $2,579, and all proceeds go toward supporting the Maitland/Arthurton W&CH Auxiliary.
With new and returning vendors, there’s something that will catch eyeryone’s eye. Market favourites like Breathless Jewellery are back with unique pieces, along with Pebble and Pearl Designs showcasing adorable dolls and children’s wear. Melvellous returns too, with her quirky polymer clay earrings, each pair a tiny work of art.
This year, the market also features beautiful handmade ceramics by Meg Honner and Ocean Glaze Ceramics. Jean + Andy joins the skincare line-up, alongside Zest Botanicals, both offering natural, ethical, and sustainable skin treats that do as much for your skin as they do for the planet. And yes, macramé is back in style, thanks to Paper Daisy Handmade.
For foodies, Chunky Boys Kitchen and Oh My Grill will be serving up tasty bites, with the Wallaroo Scout Group frying up a storm on the BBQ. SA Wood Oven Pizzas and Noula’s Greek Sweets are joining the lineup for a serious flavour fix, and you can wash it all down with a local brew from Watsacowie or a gin from Stansbury’s Lost Tide Spirit Co.
There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained too! Talented face painters, The Mock Turtle and Cheeky Faces, will be on hand to create colourful masterpieces, while a giant sandpit filled with toys will keep the little ones happily occupied.
From fashion finds to handmade ceramics, sweet treats, and even quirky concrete chickens, the Arthurton Pop-Up Market has it all. It’s the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping, support small businesses, and make life just a bit brighter for kids in rural South Australia.
