Country Vibes, fab food & fun at Quorn Quandong Festival

Get ready for a weekend of pure country charm, delicious bush tucker and family fun at the Quorn Quandong Festival!
Sitting pretty in the stunning Flinders Ranges, Quorn is the place to be on October 26th and 27th as the town comes alive with the rich traditions of South Australian culture.

Headlining this year’s festival is Australia’s golden girl of country music, Amber Lawrence. The six time Golden Guitar winner will light up the main stage with a free concert on Saturday at 4.30pm and a special kids show at 11.10am Sunday. More live entertainment from Jasmine Kimber, Caitlin Drew and Sunday Lemonade will continue the festival vibes across the weekend.

But let’s not take away from the star of the show – the Quandong, along with other abundant bush delights that make the popular festival a foodies haven. Wander around Quorn’s Visual and Performing Arts Precinct,, as it’s transformed into a street fair packed with mouthwatering treats. From emu and Quandong tacos to lemon myrtle chicken burgers, food stalls will take your taste buds on a wild adventure. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t miss the homemade Quandong pies, Quandong cheesecake and other tasty treats, just like Grandma used to make!

And the home baked delights don’t stop there – a country cook-off, featuring Quornish Pasties, Quandong Pies and Marmalade will be hotly contested, with some incredible accommodation prizes up for grabs. Plus, the little ones can get in on the fun with kids activities in the gardens and a colouring competition, where they could win a family pass to ride the iconic Pichi Richi Railway!

For those looking to take home some expert advice, Quorn Community Landcare Group will host a range of guest speakers, guided nature walks, and hands-on workshops on harvesting and processing native food plants in low rainfall regions.

Renowned bush food Author, Neville Bonney, will be at the festival and South Aussie Chef, Andrew Fielke will be cooking up a feast for the senses at a Quandong Dinner on the Saturday night at Emily’s Bistro (at the Great Northern Lodge).

Whether you’re there for the music, the food, or just to soak up the country vibes and magnificent views, the Quorn Quandong Festival is a must-visit. Round up your mates and head to Quorn for an unforgettable weekend of fun, food, and community spirit!
