Motorsport, Music and Meat – The Bend Classic dishes up a three-day trifecta
Get set for three days of high-octane action as South Australia’s premier racing destination hosts “The Bend Classic”.
From October 24–26, Tailem Bend will come alive with roaring engines, an epic line up of country music, BBQ masterclasses, and the chance to camp right in the heart of the action.
This year’s event will be bigger, better and louder – with everything from Heritage Touring Cars and Formula 5000s to vintage hillclimbers, drift demos, and exotic ultra-performance machines. Off track, the main stage will be stacked with some big guns of country music, including Kasey Chambers, Casey Barnes, The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Kingswood, and Luke Combs tribute band, Hurricane.
For the real meatheads, daily Pitmaster BBQ Masterclasses will have you drooling before you’ve even fired up the grill. From fall-off-the-bone ribs to flame-kissed picanha, you’ll pick up tips from some of the best in the game – including South America’s legendary Pitmaster, Adriano, who’ll be bringing the bold flavours of his homeland to life. There’s an entire village dedicated to smokey cooked meats, with BBQ At The Bend featuring a national BBQ comp, with contestants fighting for $10k in prize money and perhaps even a ticket to Texas. Meat lovers, this one’s your pilgrimage!
There’s even a honky-tonk twist this year with Shotgun Willie’s Bar taking over Podium Park with line dancing all weekend and DJ afterparties.
Woodchopping will be a thing – with some of the best lumberjacks in the land showing off their skills. And for those inspired to put the pedal to the metal, The Bend Go-Karts will be operating across the weekend.
