Four Sharp Suits, Four-Part Harmonies and Some Seriously Slick Moves

If you’ve been watching the latest season of The Voice, chances are you’ve found yourself humming along to some hits from the golden era.

And South Australia, we probably need to make a little more noise about the four blokes responsible.

On Sunday night, Adelaide’s The 60 Four will take to The Voice Australia Grand Final stage as one of the final four acts in the competition.

But while Australia might have only just discovered the matching jackets, slick choreography and ridiculously tight harmonies, these lads are no overnight success.

South Australian audiences have been watching them do their thing for a decade now.

So, who exactly are these sharp-dressed lads?

From a school classroom to The Voice

The 60 Four story started back in 2015, with a few mates at Scotch College and a high-school music class taught by acclaimed Australian cabaret performer Michael Griffiths.

It was there they got their first taste of those big, unmistakable harmonies that defined the music of the ’60s.

They put together a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons medley and performed it at the Adelaide Theatre Guide Awards at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

They received a standing ovation — and three job offers on the spot.

There have been a few different line-ups since those early days, but the shows have only gotten bigger — from that first 40-seat venue to sell-out seasons and national tours.

The four taking on The Voice are Ben Francis, Lachlan Williams, Jack Conroy and Finnegan Green.

Meet the lads

Ben Francis is The 60 Four’s director and vocalist — and the bloke responsible for some of those seriously high notes.

Ben Francis

For someone still in his 20s, he’s already built quite the career as a performer, director, conductor, producer and writer, with credits across musical theatre, opera and drama.

In 2024, he launched Ben Francis Entertainment, which produces The 60 Four as well as Benny and the Jets: The Story of Elton John.

Lachlan Williams is also a founding member and has been sharing the stage with Ben since those Scotch College days.

He completed four years of acting training at Flinders Drama Centre and has worked with State Theatre Company and Adelaide Cabaret Festival. And when he’s not suited up singing ’60s classics, he’s the bass player for Adelaide rock band NORMAL BEHAVIOUR, which toured the US in 2024.

Then there’s Jack Conroy, who joined The 60 Four in 2018 — and has a nice little Mid North connection.

Jack’s family purchased the Blyth Hotel several years ago and ran the pub for around three years.

Jack studied musical theatre before receiving a full scholarship to Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance and later joined the Australian/New Zealand production of The Book of Mormon.

And rounding out the foursome is Finn Green, who began performing in Adelaide from a young age before moving to Melbourne to study Musical Theatre at Patrick School of the Arts.

Finnegan Green is part of South Australia's The 60 Four, competing for the Voice Australia title.

His professional theatre credits include Jersey Boys, A Christmas Carol and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The Suits Hit the Big Stage

When this slick quartet of South Aussie superstars hit The Voice Blind Auditions, it didn’t take long to get everyone’s attention.

Their take on Leo Sayer’s You Make Me Feel Like Dancing had all four chairs turning — and probably a fair chunk of Australia singing along from the couch.

The harmonies were tight, the moves were smooth, the suits were sharp and that falsetto was hard to miss.

They chose Team Melanie C, before a twist in The Voice journey saw them jump ship to former Boyzone star Ronan Keating.

Fast forward to the semi-final, and a high-energy performance of Earth, Wind & Fire’s September was enough to book them a spot in Sunday night’s Grand Final.

Now they’re one of four acts left standing — alongside Daisha Auda, Yung Milla and Tommy Novak — and this time, Australia gets the final say.

A big year for SA voices

And The 60 Four weren’t the only South Aussies to make their mark this season.

Former Clare High School student, Charlotte June, made it all the way to the semi-finals on Team Kate Miller-Heidke, delivering some incredibly emotional performances along the way.

Charlotte’s mum, Karin Broome, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in January 2024, aged just 54.

The 22-year-old media student uses her growing platform to raise awareness of the disease while sharing a very personal part of her family’s life.

Tonight, it’s over to the lads in the matching jackets.

They’ve got the harmonies, the moves and the suits sorted.

The rest is up to Australia.
