Three SA towns are home to the best caravan parks for 2025

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to pack the tent, hitch up the van, or book a cabin, here it is.

The SA Parks ReviewPro Awards 2025 have revealed the best caravan parks in South Australia, and three regional favourites have come out on top – Whyalla Caravan & Tourist Park, Stansbury Caravan Park, and Quorn Caravan Park.

These awards are a little different to the usual industry nods. They’re based entirely on guest reviews, which means if a park made the list, it’s because visitors genuinely loved the experience.

Which caravan park won gold in 2025?

Whyalla Caravan & Tourist Park took out the top spot. It’s an easy base for fishing trips or throwing a rake in the shallows when the blue swimmer crabs are running. Add in ocean sunsets and the nearby cuttlefish spectacle in winter, and you’ve got a park that makes Whyalla more than just a pit-stop.

Why should travellers visit Stansbury Caravan Park?

Stansbury Caravan Park picked up silver and the “most improved” award. Sitting right on the Oyster Bay foreshore, it’s a family-friendly spot with upgraded amenities, camp kitchens, and space for the dog too.

This win is important for a town that’s been hit hard by the devastating algal blooms affecting its usually pristine waters. With the State Government’s new South Australian travel vouchers on offer, Stansbury is well worth backing. Grab a cabin or roll in with the van, wander down for fish and chips on the jetty and know your holiday dollars are helping a resilient coastal community.

What makes Quorn Caravan Park popular?

Taking out the Bronze and tucked between Mount Remarkable and Ikara–Flinders Ranges National Parks, Quorn Caravan Park is the kind of place where you wake up to the sound of birds singing, spend the day bushwalking or mountain biking, and roll back in time for a campfire under the stars.

Quorn itself has plenty of charm too, with heritage shopfronts, pubs, and the Pichi Richi Railway for a dose of history on the tracks.

Why these awards matter

The SA Parks ReviewPro Awards are based purely on guest satisfaction scores. That means the parks topping the 2025 list are the ones travellers would recommend to their mates – you’ve gotta love that.

And with spring in the air and road trips back on the agenda, Whyalla, Stansbury, and Quorn definitely deserve a spot on your South Australian travel bucket list.
