Yorke Peninsula Exhibition kicks off big long-weekend for Yorke Peninsula

The Yorke Peninsula comes alive this October long weekend, with everything from coastal markets and live music to local brewed beer, wines and good spirits. And to sprinkle in some creativity, Warooka will host the Southern Yorke Peninsula Photography Club’s very first exhibition – a stunning showcase of local talent capturing the region’s landscapes, life and charm.

Open from October 4-6 (10am–3pm daily) at Warooka’s Ballara Art and Lifestyle Retreat, the exhibition celebrates beauty, diversity, and creativity, with many works available for purchase, making it the perfect chance to take home a piece of the Yorke Peninsula.

The exhibition comes on the back of a big year for the club. In August, SYPPC secured a top three finish at the South Australian Photographic Federation’s 62nd Annual Exhibition, with member Denise Jackson-Cook taking out the highest individual honour for her breathtaking image Dunes at Sunset. Add to that more wins at the Grounded YP Arts Festival and it’s clear this local club is making waves.
