A proper country stopover (without the price tag) at Mallala Campground

If you’re the kind of traveller who likes to keep things simple, affordable and a bit country, the Mallala Campground might just be your next favourite stop.

Tucked in right beside the town oval in Mallala, this little campground punches well above its weight. Whether you’re just passing through or have a few days to explore nearby tourist regions, it’s hard to go past the convenience and affordability of this little community gem.

Easy to Access, Easy to Navigate, Easy to Settle Into

The campground is run by the Mallala & Districts Lions Club, and every dollar made goes straight back into the local community. So when you wheel in with your caravan, camper or find a spot to pitch your tent, your $15 a night fee helps fund local projects, facilities and community initiatives.

When the dedicated local Lions members put their heads together on this, of course they came up with a design that’s easy to access, easy to navigate, and easy to settle into.

Mallala Campground is only 50 kilometres from Adelaide, and at $15 a night, you can't go wrong.

Guests have access to free BBQ facilities, coin-operated hot showers and washing machines, and everything the country town of Mallala has to offer within walking distance. There’s the local pub, cafe, supermarket, and of course, the well-known Mallala Motorsport Park – an airfield during WWII, now a hub for racing fans.

Location Location Location

Only Fifty kilometres north of Adelaide, and also within cooee of the Barossa and Clare Valleys, Yorke Peninsula and Adelaide Hills, Mallala Campground is well-located, affordable and pet-friendly.

There’s 20 individual non-powered campsites, 13 unpowered caravan and camper trailer sites, four RV sites for bigger setups, as well as space to set up a tent.

At $15 a night, with the added bonus of the town’s country hospitality, you can’t go wrong. You can even pull up a deckchair and take in a game of local footy or cricket while you’re there!
