Giant Kites in Beachport Set to put on a Sky-High Show

The skies of Beachport will get a splash of colour this summer as giant kites float back into town on Sunday January 18.

Big, bold kite creatures will take over the sky, soaring in the breeze while locals and visitors watch on with delight.

Kids can get hands-on and creative at the free DIY kite decorating station before heading out to test their masterpiece. Free face painting and delicious Lions Club donuts will no doubt keep the little (and big) kids happy.

Live music will add to the atmosphere, and the Beachport Food Van will be on site serving food and drinks to purchase.

This event runs as part of Wattle Range Council’s Full Throttle in Wattle school holiday program, delivering free activities across all four school holiday breaks each year.

Best of all, it’s free and open to everyone. Bring your family, bring your mates, and get ready to see the skies over Beachport transformed.

Fingers crossed for perfect kite-flying weather on the day.
