This Weekend – Three Huge Events Light Up at Flame Festival

The Copper Coast is set to come alive this weekend as the FLAME Festival returns bringing a vibrant mix of Food, Light, Art, Music and Entertainment.

Now in its third year, this biennial event celebrates the region’s creativity, culture and community spirit — and it’s all free.

Whether you’re planning a day trip or a full weekend escape, FLAME is packed with experiences across all three Copper Coast towns. Think skydivers over Wallaroo beach, pop-up art installations, museum openings, laneway umbrellas and live entertainment around every corner.

At the heart of the festival are three major events to build your weekend around.

Friday – Winda the Owl Comes to Life – Wallaroo

The weekend kicks off with a stunning cultural experience on the Wallaroo foreshore.

As the sun sets, fire sculptures, glowing lanterns and large-scale puppets will bring the Narungga dreaming story of Winda the Owl to life in a moving visual display.

Saturday – Grounds of Delight – Kadina

Saturday’s major event transforms the Kadina Showgrounds into a high-energy festival hub.

Expect live music from Jaime Willson, Tiff Reynolds and Late Night Lies, roaming performers from Untamed Circus, fire shows, workshops, rides, food trucks and a fireworks finale.

Sunday – Mayfair with Callum Hann – Moonta

Sunday slows things down with a food-focused finale in Moonta.

MasterChef favourite Callum Hann will headline the day with live cooking demonstrations and meet-and-greets, showcasing his passion for local produce and simple, flavour-packed food.

From firelight to food, street performers to skydivers, FLAME Festival is a full weekend of colour, creativity and community on the Copper Coast.
