Food, wine, live music and workshops set for a big weekend in the Adelaide Hills this March
Autumn is a pretty magic time to head for the Hills — and later this month, Lenswood will play host to one of the region’s tastiest weekends, A Taste of the Hills.
This year the growing foodie festival pops up on the green lawns of Lenswood Memorial Park across two days on the last weekend in March, bringing together a smorgasbord of local treats. Expect delicious eats and some of the Hills’ best beverages, plus a huge line-up of live music and entertainment to go with it.
Global Street Eats Meet Adelaide Hills Produce
Festival-goers can wander between Spanish flavours from Tilbrook Estate’s Casa Pica Pica, Argentinian grilled meats from Asador Al Grill, Vietnamese street food from East West Eatery and authentic Filipino dishes from Cebu Soul. There’ll also be a fusion of plant-based Latin and Western-inspired bites from Nagev, along with open-fire barbecue from BBQ At Yours, who’ll be firing up their custom-built smoker across the weekend.
Those with a sweet tooth won’t miss out either, with golden French-style crepes from Friwi Crepes & Co, gluten-free, vegan and halal donuts from OMG! Decadent Donuts (that taste anything but), and Dutch stroopwafels from local family business TaCHs rounding things out nicely.

Prefer something more traditional? Nothing beats country baked breads and cakes. Uraidla Bakery craft theirs from local ingredients, using traditional baking techniques for that country taste and texture.
Wines, Spirits and Local Ciders on Pour
Local wineries including Hesketh, Vinteloper, Anvers and Golding will be pouring across the weekend, alongside beers and spirits from producers such as Ginny Pig, Silver Bark Brewery, A Bit Fancy Spirits and Five Eleven Distilling. Fresh Adelaide Hills apples and pears will also feature in ciders from Lenswood Ciders and juices from LOBO, with flavours like cherry and quince, while Spiritato will be serving up limoncello for those chasing something a little different.
Live music will roll on throughout the weekend, with pop/rock outfit PASH, singer-songwriter Freddie Bailey and local duo Ella and Sienna among those taking to the stage. And if that gets the toes tapping, festival-goers can jump in and give Saddle and Stomp Line Dancing a go — with sessions running at 3pm on both days.

Masterclasses, Workshops and Helicopter Flights
There’s also the chance to try something new, with daily masterclasses and workshops covering everything from wine pairing and cocktail making to relaxed ‘paint and sip’ sessions. For those feeling a little more adventurous, helicopter flights will be taking off across the weekend, offering stunning autumn views of the Hills along with access to a private VIP lounge on landing.
The festival runs from 11am to 6pm on both days, with shuttle buses available from Adelaide, Marion, Crafers, Hahndorf and Mount Barker. For those planning to drive, parking is available on site. Tickets, shuttle bookings and the full program can be found via the festival website.
